Majestic Cannes Unveils a Red-and-Gold Holiday Spectacle on the Croisette

Holiday Season at the Majestic Cannes

Under the soft winter light of the Croisette, Majestic Cannes has done it again — transforming itself into a glowing celebration of French style and festive spirit. The legendary hotel isn’t just dressing up for the season; it’s staging a full-scale holiday performance in two elegant acts.

Act One: A Glamorous Red Christmas

From November 22 to December 5, the palace turns crimson. Deep red ribbons, lacquered baubles, and three towering four-metre fir trees take over the lobby, their branches heavy with gold lights and Riviera chic. Beneath them, a neat pile of bright boxes recalls old-world Christmas mornings — the kind captured in memory, not on screens.

Even the bar joins the show, with scarlet vases and soft decorations giving the whole place the glow of a winter evening in Paris.

Act Two: Golden Lights and Festive Cheer

When December draws to a close, the scene changes. From December 29 to January 4, the Majestic sheds its red coat for gold. Chandeliers turn into floating constellations, mirrored baubles reflect the light like Champagne bubbles, and the whole lobby feels alive — not loud, just effortlessly grand.

It’s the kind of understated glamour that Cannes does best.

A Façade That Shines Across the Croisette

Step outside and the show continues. The hotel’s façade twinkles under a web of golden lights; palm trees and lampposts shimmer in unison, while a huge Christmas tree guards the entrance. It’s visible all along the Croisette, stopping passers-by in their tracks.

Dining, French-Style

New Year’s Day Brunch – January 1, 2026

One Last Taste of the Riviera

Order 48 hours ahead; €69 for eight people.

The Magic of Majestic Cannes

More than a hotel, Majestic Cannes has turned the festive season into a showcase of French art de vivre — elegant, warm, and quietly spectacular. On the Croisette this winter, the lights don’t just shine — they tell a story.
