Just like their fathers, they are total opposites, but there’s no denying they’re cut from the same cloth. And somehow, when they share a ring, it just clicks, it’s chaos and chemistry colliding in the best possible way.
The bad blood runs deep, just like it did between their fathers. Eubank Sr, who swore he wanted nothing to do with it, couldn’t resist the spotlight. He arrived on fight night in true Eubank fashion, dramatic, unannounced, impossible to ignore.
Nigel Benn, meanwhile, stood by his son the way he always has, quietly, loyally and making sure the night was about Conor, not himself. Seeing both fathers there, watching their sons carry the family legacy, it was pure boxing theatre.

Now, things have boiled over again. Eubank accused Benn’s promotion team, Matchroom, of blocking his ambulance after the April fight, an accusation that left chairman Eddie Hearn fuming; he took this very seriously and is now suing him!
Benn’s response? He bragged that the £375,000 fine Eubank paid for missing weight went straight on a brand new Rolls-Royce. Eubank was over the limit by less than half an ounce, which is about the weight of twelve paperclips. Fine margins.
Now Benn’s taunting him again: “Miss weight again, and I’ve got a new Ferrari waiting!”
The final press conference was electrifying from start to finish. Eubank Jr had dominated every previous meeting, talking over Eddie Hearn, interrupting him, and leaving him no chance to get a word in. This time, Eddie flipped the script. Inspired by a scene in the film ‘Love Actually’, he had his entire message on cue cards and held them up in complete silence. The room laughed, impressed by the clarity of it.
For the first time in his career, Eubank Jr was stumped! Eubank Sr tried to drag Nigel Benn back into the old rivalry, but Benn shut it down, saying again that this is about the boys. And Conor Benn? He went straight for Chris Jr, telling him to stop looking for sympathy. He reminded him that he is the one who’s complaining about everything, while he’s the smaller man and hasn’t grumbled once.
Then came the moment no one thought they’d ever see, both fathers and both sons, side by side. The room literally feeling the aura and the history. Two generations locked in one moment. A rivalry that shaped British boxing. You couldn’t script it better. Truly iconic.
This week, Eubank Jr announced he’s expecting twin boys, while Benn already has a young son. You have to wonder, are we watching a rivalry that could continue across generations?
